I dont know if I mentioned it or not but the 4.7 V8 in the 4th gen 4runner has one flaw. And it's the exhaust manifolds. They tend to crack, because they adapted the manifolds when they changed the engine from the 5.7 to the 4.7 to fit it in the smaller engine bays. So beware of the ticking sound made by any v8 4runner. It can be fixed but the part is expensive because the manifold has the catalytic converter inside it. It's a lot of shop hours to get to the part. It can be welded (that's what I did) but isolating the crack can also be expensive
